This morning the sandhill cranes were calling their loud, throaty presence from Camas Prairie at first light. They were in our portion of the valley, less than 1/2 mile away. not a cloud in the sky, with a cool, fresh morning. The aspens have fully leafed out a couple of weeks early this year, and the large valley/basin of Camas Prairie is in full bloom. Hummingbirds have returned and are joined by many songbirds. What's not to love?!!
